Supplying the Best Quality Photo for Print is Essential
- Avoid Screenshots: This is only a low resolution image for screens and are not suitable for print.
- Save Photos as: TIFF, PNG, or JPEG format, but ensure it is saved at the highest quality setting to minimise compression.
- High Resolution: Aim for a resolution of at least 300 DPI (dots per inch) for print. This ensures that your image is sharp and clear.
- Avoid Compression: If using JPEG, avoid excessive compression, as it can degrade image quality.

Can I See A Proof Of My Memorial Card Design Before Printing?
All design proofs are supplied via email in PDF format for your review and approval within three working days of your order, and often the following day. This allows you to clearly view how your final product will appear before it goes to print.
We aim to create each design to the highest standard. Please note that some design elements – such as backgrounds, fonts, and colours – may vary slightly from what is shown on our website. These adjustments are often necessary to best suit your personalised content, and do not indicate an error in your order.
The design proof we provide is the most accurate visual representation of your final product. We encourage all customers to carefully review this proof, as it serves as the guide for your finished design.
Customers are responsible for notifying us of any corrections or changes needed before giving final approval for print.
Timely feedback is essential. Delays in approving proofs or requesting revisions are the customer’s responsibility and may affect production timelines.
When supplying a photograph, it must be high resolution (minimum 300 dpi). We understand that in some cases, only lower-resolution images may be available – especially for older photographs. We can often still work with these images, within reason, and will always do our best to enhance them. However, it’s important to have a realistic expectation that the printed result will reflect the quality of the original image.
We cannot offer refunds for poor print quality due to low-resolution images provided by the customer. Any photo editing work that is paid for will be done to the best of our ability to improve appearance, but edited photos are strictly for use on our products and will not be supplied separately.
If you’re unsure whether your photo is suitable, feel free to contact us by email before placing your order.
Can I Cancel Or Edit My Order?
Orders can only be cancelled within three hours of being placed and only if no design work has begun. All cancellation requests must be made in writing by email to info@creativememorialcards.ie.
If a cancellation request is received after a design proof has been sent, a partial refund may be offered at our discretion. This refund is based on the time spent working on your order. If multiple proofs have been created, this will also be taken into account when calculating the refund amount.
If your order has already been partially or fully printed, the full order amount will still be charged.
Can I Order Extra Memorial Cards?
Absolutely. You can order additional cards at any time. However, if you think there’s a chance you may need more, we recommend ordering the next quantity up from your estimate – this is often more cost-effective than placing a separate re-order later.
For original orders over €200, we offer a discount on any re-ordered cards. Smaller orders will be charged according to our standard price list.
What Is The Paper Stock Quality And Finish Of The Cards?
Our cards are printed on high-quality 350gsm bond, which produces vibrant colours and enhances photo details beautifully.
350gsm is the most commonly used weight for cards – it is flexible and bends easily but will not fold cleanly unless it has been creased.
With the exception of our acknowledgment cards, all of our memorial card products including folded memorial cards, memorial bookmarks and wallet cards are finished with a high quality gloss laminate for added sheen and durability.
Are Envelopes Included With My Memorial Card Order?
Yes, white envelopes are included as standard with all of our memorial card orders. Should you order the same amount of folded memorial cards and acknowledgment cards, we will include a single quantity of A6 white envelopes for the insertion of both. Should you order different quantities of different products, separate quantities of appropriate sized envelopes for each product will be included.
What Are The Sizes Of The Memorial Cards?
Here are the standard sizes for our products:
* Memorial Cards: 105 x 74 mm when closed, 148 x 105 mm when open
* Memorial Bookmarks: 195 x 55 mm
* Memorial Wallet Cards: 55 x 85 mm (approximately the size of a business card)
* Acknowledgment Cards: 105 x 148 mm (A6 size, or a quarter of an A4 sheet)
Do Your Cards Include Your Logo?
We include a small, subtle line of text with our website name and phone number on the back of each card. This will be clearly visible on the design proof you receive.
If you’d prefer not to have this included, just let us know — we’re happy to remove it on request, no questions asked.
Can You Crop And Edit My Photos?
Yes, we can crop and enhance the photos you provide, depending on the image quality, resolution, and specific requirements.
If you have particular edits in mind, please include your requests when placing your order or contact us directly. We’ll be happy to review your photo and let you know what’s possible. We always do our best to offer suitable options and achieve the best result for your design.
Can I Use More Than One Photo?
Yes, we can include extra photos free of charge. Whether you’d like to feature a couple of photos of your loved one on different pages, or you’re looking for a fully custom design with a background of your choice, we can accommodate your wishes.
If you’d like a completely personalised layout, please place your order using the “Personalised” thumbnail within the relevant product category.
I Have Physical Photos I Want To Use, Can You Work With These?
Yes we can if you wish to post them to us, however, we strongly recommend sending unframed copies only, not original photos, as we cannot take responsibility for any loss or damage that may occur in the postal system. Your copies that you send to us will be returned with your order.
If you prefer to send photos by post, please mail them to:

What If I Need My Memorial Cards Urgently?
Ordinarily our turnaround time to issue a digital proof is up to three working days, and then up to another five working days to produce the cards once proofing is approved.
However, in the event that you require your cards more urgently, we will do our best to accommodate you if our workload allows for it. This will be subject to an additional express fee depending on timeline and complexity of the work required. We ask that you please contact us before ordering to discuss this with us.
What Happens If I Notice Any Issues With My Order Upon Arrival?
If you notice any issues with your order, please notify us immediately in writing via email. This helps us keep a clear record of the matter until it is fully resolved.
In some cases, we may ask you to return the cards for inspection. Rest assured, we will work as quickly as possible to address the issue and assist you with your order.
What If My Order Has Not Arrived When Expected?
Please contact us immediately via email and we will quickly get clarity and offer assistance. We recommend contacting us prior to ordering to let us know if you have a particular deadline and we will confirm whether this can be met. We will always endeavour to accommodate our clients’ requests, however there may occasionally be time constraints which make this unfeasible.
Why Does My Printed Photo Look Slightly Different To My On-Screen Digital Proof?
Screens and printed images are fundamentally different. A screen displays images using light that it emits directly, while a printed image reflects the surrounding (ambient) light. Because of this, colours and brightness can sometimes appear slightly different between your on-screen proof and the final printed product.
Printing Colour Disclaimer
Please note that colours may appear differently on your screen compared to the final printed product. Every monitor, phone, and tablet displays colours in its own way due to differences in brightness, screen settings, resolution, and colour calibration. Even the browser you use can affect how colours are shown.
For this reason, we cannot guarantee that the colours you see on your screen will exactly match the printed version. In most cases, any difference is minimal and not noticeable, but we want to be transparent that slight variations can occur.
Please also be aware that we cannot guarantee an exact colour match for any reprints. This is because printing inks are replaced and recalibrated regularly. We will always do our best to match the original colours as closely as possible.
